The person behind the work
"Every business is a story being told either badly or well. There is no third option."A note I keep taped above my desk
I kept following the problem upstream.
My work has moved through business development, product, growth, SEO, content, and personal branding. Different briefs kept bringing me back to the same questions: What are we selling? Who is it for? Why should they care? How will they find it? And what needs to exist for that interest to become a business result?
That shaped how I work. I follow the problem far enough to find what is holding the business back. Sometimes the answer is positioning or a go-to-market decision. Sometimes it is search strategy, content, a website, or the product itself. I work across the pieces the problem needs.
My healthcare writing background reinforced a standard I still use: claims need evidence, and complex ideas should become clearer without losing accuracy. Credibility depends on both.
Today I help founders, companies, and experts make those decisions and carry them into the work. I built Venture Scalor with Amr Nabeel to connect strategy with software execution. The company builds custom software for clients and co-builds with a small number of early-stage founders.
I also created Content Radar, a competitor monitoring product that began as a tool I needed in my own client work. It is now live, and its story is on the Work page.
Five rules I work by
-
Clear beats clever
If a smart stranger cannot repeat your idea after hearing it once, the idea needs more editing. I edit until it holds.
-
Strategy is deciding what not to say
Positioning fails by addition. The brands that win are the ones brave enough to be about one thing in a market shouting about everything.
-
Evidence over adjectives
Claims get sources, results get numbers, and "world-class" gets deleted.
-
Systems beat sprints
A growth system keeps producing results after the campaign ends and after the engagement ends. That is the kind of work I build.
-
Your voice, not mine
Whether I am ghostwriting your essays or positioning your product, success means it sounds like the best version of you. Nobody should ever detect me in your work.
What it is like to work with me
I ask more questions than you expect, especially early, because the answer to "what makes this different" is usually buried three questions deeper than the first answer. Often the questions alone get the whole team to agree, for the first time, on what they are actually selling.
After that, I am direct. If a channel is wrong for you, I will say so before you spend on it. If your positioning is fine and your problem is distribution, I will not sell you a rebrand. You get my honest read, in writing, in plain language, with a recommendation you can act on whether or not you act on it with me.
And I ship. Strategy that stays in a slide deck is a very expensive poem. Every project we agree on ends with things that exist: pages published, systems running, calendars full, words live in the world doing work. The thinking itself is on display in the blog, if you want a preview before we talk.
